Copper to Rise 30% in the Next Year, Bank of America Says

Bank of America Head of Global Commodities Francisco Blanch says that copper stands alone as the one commodity that will benefit from the global energy transition. “You have a lot of renewables because you want to transition…you need to connect those renewables to the grid and you need to improve the grid and that takes a lot of copper,” he told Bloomberg Television

As a result, Blanch claims that copper will soar by at least 30% over the course of the next 12 months – and may potentially go even higher. Other industry experts agree, including Jeff Currie – a renowned economist and the former Global Head of Commodities Research at Goldman Sachs – who warns of one of the tightest markets in copper’s history.

By 2035, demand for copper, which is critical to green technologies, is expected to surge to nearly double. This is challenging mining companies to keep pace, with new copper discoveries desperately needed.

Vortex Metals (TSX.V: VMS / FSE: DM8 / OTC: VMSSF) is a discovery-driven company that, much like the experts, believes there has never been a better time to invest in copper-gold exploration. The company’s founder, the late David Jones, was a world-renowned geologist involved in the discovery of one of the largest gold mines in the world, the Los Filos mine in Mexico. Today, Vortex has been granted community approval to begin an exploration campaign at its two drill-ready properties in the state of Oaxaca, which could have the potential to uncover a massive copper deposit.

Additionally, Vortex owns a project in Chile located just 20 km away from the El Espino mine, which has an estimated value of US$380 million and annual expected production of 26,000 mt of fine copper and 3,000 oz of gold.

With a diversified copper exploration portfolio, Vortex Metals is an investor’s gateway to potentially significant new copper discoveries. Learn more about the company at www.vortexmetals.ca.
